Dracula Untold: Sarah Gadon on Playing Dracula's Wife

A Conversation with the Actress

On the set of Universal Pictures' "Dracula Untold," Sarah Gadon discusses her role as Dracula's wife.

In Universal Pictures' "Dracula Untold," Sarah Gadon plays Mirena, the wife of Vlad the Impaler (Luke Evans). Mirena is a strong and independent woman who is fiercely protective of her family. She is also a skilled healer and uses her knowledge to help those in need.

Gadon was drawn to the role of Mirena because she was intrigued by the character's complexity. "Mirena is a very strong and independent woman," Gadon said. "She's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, even when it means going against her husband. I think that's a really admirable quality."

Gadon also enjoyed working with Evans, who she praised for his talent and professionalism. "Luke is an amazing actor," Gadon said. "He's so talented and he brings so much depth to the role of Vlad. I learned a lot from working with him."

"Dracula Untold" is a dark and suspenseful film that tells the origin story of Dracula. The film is directed by Gary Shore and also stars Charles Dance, Dominic Cooper, and Art Parkinson.
